34-year-old man missing since July; Irondale police, family asking for public’s help

Police and family members are asking for the public’s help in locating a man missing since July.

Darryl A. Smith Jr., who goes by DJ, was last seen July 15 on Third Avenue South in Birmingham.

The 34-year-old Smith may be homeless and mentally incapacitated and may not be able to make sound decisions for himself.

Smith is 5-feet, 9-inches tall with a slim build. He has a tattoo that reads “Claudia” on his left forearm and another that reads “Kendra” on the left side of his neck.
